ZM505 Weight Indicator

The ZM505 is an entry level Lua programmable indicator with a larger encloser to allow process steps to be modified to meet customer requirements. This along with flexible print formatting makes this indicator a great option for a wide range of process weighing applications from filling, batching, in-motion, checkweighing, to truck, bench and floor scale systems.

Constructed for use in industrial, dusty, wet or high pressure, heavy washdown and outdoor environments, the desktop ZM505 is IP69K certified and enclosed in a larger 304 brushed stainless-steel housing. Ever versatile, the indicator also adapts to desk, wall or column mount applications and is available in a stainless steel IP66 panel mountable version.

The ZM505 Weight Indicator features an alpha-numeric keypad with chemical resistant, metal domed keys, which give the user crisp, positive tactile feedback when compressed. Additionally, five programmable keys allow specific weighing tasks to be assigned to the indicator, allowing weighing operations to be carried out quickly and effectively. The ZM505 also supports the additional use of external USB keyboards if needed.

High contrast, 7-digit, nine segment 0.8″ (20mm) high digit IBN display provides excellent visibility and color contrast. With its wide viewing angles, the ultra-bright green and black graphic display is easily visible in extreme working conditions, limiting eye-strain and enhancing usability. A graphic array area to the right of the screen enables small user prompts or images to appear alongside the displayed weight data.

With its 10v excitation and 10,000d legal for trade approval, the ZM505 is suitable for any single or dual base system, making it perfect for businesses that trade by weight. it is designed to connect up to most analog truck scales, bench scales, floor scales and hopper systems. This indicator can drive four scales with up to 24 x 350-ohm load cells or up to two BSQ bases. It is approved for use in a wide range of global regions (NTEP /Measurement in Canada, UK/EC/OIML).

The ZM505 can hold four option cards internally and an additional four externally with the aid of an option expansion card to provide more flexibility to the indicator to work within a customer’s own process. The options cards that can be used are:
