Designed for weight monitoring, data collection, and cloud-based data storage, the ZM223 enables control and visibility of processes, from dusty warehouses to food-safe production lines. Housed in a durable IP69K stainless steel enclosure with a large 1.5” color-changing display, the ZM223 is ideal for applications where clarity, speed, and durability are needed.

With a library of preloaded applications – including general weighing, checkweighing, batching, grading, inventory control, truck scale in/out, hopper filling, and more, the ZM223 is ready to be easily integrated, right out of the box. It connects to various platforms, supporting both analog and digital scale inputs, and offers powerful features like peak hold and fill-and-discharge modes for efficiently managing various weighing processes, ensuring reliability.
Its large, color-changing backlight display (green, yellow, orange, red) and wide viewing angles draw the eye to the screen, even in poor lighting conditions, to ensure instant visual status recognition in all types of environments, ensuring safety and precision during operation.
Smart Connectivity for Simplified Operations
The ZM223 comes standard with RS232, USB, Bluetooth®, Ethernet, Enet/IP, Modbus TCP, and a 16GB micro-SD card, ensuring quick and easy set-up and integration into existing systems. The SD card ensures that the users always have access to the most updated software.
It can also easily connect directly to any cloud database server using secure HTTPS or MQTT connections, making it ideal when data needs to be safely controlled centrally from a specific cloud server. It is fully Lua programmable, providing a flexible platform to control and monitor processes from anywhere.
Control from Anywhere
With full support for the new Avery Weigh-Tronix Remote Assist™ Mobile Application, the ZM223 empowers operators and supervisors to monitor and control processes remotely. Enter customer details, batch numbers, or product data, and make real-time adjustments – all from a mobile device. Drivers can now stay in their vehicles and receive weight readings from their phone rather than getting out and viewing from a wired display, saving time and money.
The ZM223 can also be viewed and controlled via a web browser interface, allowing operators to manage scale operations from any PC on the same network. In real-time, operators can configure operator prompts, edit user-defined fields (UDFs), or update product and customer data remotely.
Designed for the Toughest Environments
Innovated for industrial resilience, the ZM223 is fully sealed to IP69K rated stainless steel, allowing it to withstand consistent heavy washdowns, making it ideal for the food industry. The indicator comes with optional USB and Ethernet glands for waterproof, fast-disconnect connections to keep moisture out. Connect the indicator to Bluetooth and eliminate excess chords, increasing safety in high-demand environments.
