Zero Hour Stores and Delivery Operative (Mobile, from company vehicle – Smethwick)
Objective of role:
To work as part of a laboratory team in providing our customers with excellent, technically competent service and support. The role is to make collections and drop offs of customers equipment as required from premises around the UK. It will also include addition of the items into the company’s internal database as well as despatch. This role is pivotal to supporting our laboratory team in the calibration of our customers’ metrology equipment, delivering a a maximum five-day turnaround for all items sent to our Birmingham based laboratory.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively represent the Avery Weigh-Tronix brand in terms of appearance, conduct and communication when attending customer sites.
To comply with all safe working practices outlined when working in the laboratory or attending customer sites
To accurately operate the Indysoft commercial laboratory software in accordance with Company policy operating the system in real time unless limited by connection or safety.
To undertake and attend training courses necessary to develop and maintain competence to undertake the role.
To attend customer premises situated around the UK as required to collect equipment due for calibration as well as return post calibration.
To accurately add customers equipment information to the Indysoft commercial laboratory software and book in the items aligned with customer requirements.
To process equipment being sent to a third-party laboratory as required, ensuring all documentation is present and correct.
To correctly despatch customers equipment using the Indysoft commercial laboratory software prior to delivery.
Effectively dealing with any laboratory paperwork, or quotation discrepancies as and when required.
Aide in management of all sub-contracted relations, from obtaining quotations, providing purchase orders, updating current outstanding items, and effective management of all relevant documentation.
Ensuring accurate recording and capture of all relevant information for enquires using Salesforce, Baan, Microsoft office and any other data systems.
To undertake all other clerical and administration duties as required as well as any other duties deemed appropriate, in line with skills and experience, to ensure the achievement of wider commercial objectives.
To observe and comply with all Company policies including but not limited to TW Legal, Commercial Compliance, Confidentiality, Health and Safety, Principles of Conduct, Anti-Bribery, Ethics, IT, email and internet usage, and all other AWTX & ITW policies and procedures.
To comply with the Company’s Expense Policy
Person Specification – Background Experience Basic Qualifications and/or Experience required:

Education: Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English and Maths
Experience: 1-3 years prior experience in a similar role preferred. 3 years’ worth of driving experience will be required with a Full UK driving license.
Abilities: Basic IT skills with a willing to learn
