To assemble, build and test any product or component both with, and without the aid of a drawing.
To execute the shop floor build schedule in a timely and productive manner.
To operate all manual equipment required to complete any aspect of the role within the set environment.
To build products and parts to the required standard and identify any variances in quality so that the necessary corrections are implemented.
To take responsibility for identified manufactured and purchased KanBan parts (80’s) within your cell that require replenishment and take the appropriate actions as identified in the material KanBan process.
Control and assist with the movements of all materials within your area / cell.
To ensure that nothing gets made without a KanBan trigger notification or works order
To take instructions from the Cell Leader, Assembly Manager, the Industrial Engineer or the Planner for the area.
To highlight any problems and work with the necessary people to implement short and long term solutions for cell assumingly and plant/factory operations.
Be prepared to undertake and maintain required certification for tasks such as all welding, fork lift truck and Crane operation, all appropriate verification works etc.
To continuously strive to identify improvements and any efficiency savings that will make the cell more productive and affective.
To ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards are maintained to the highest quality of execution and that all policy, procedures and best practises are adhered to at all times.
To work effectively as part of the team, with all members of that team.
To openly participate in any ITW toolbox initiatives, projects or improvement tasks with a flexible and adaptable approach.

Skills & Abilities:
Education: Minimum of 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English and Mathematics.
Experience: 1-3 years prior experience of MIG welding of large mild steel fabrications in a production environment, with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Holding or have previously held a coded welder accreditation would be an advantage.
