Our Accreditations & Certifications

At Avery Weigh-Tronix we are proud of our numerous certifications and accreditations, which reflect our commitment to delivering the highest quality in weighing solutions and service support.

These credentials enable us to provide exceptional customer experiences, guaranteeing that every interaction is backed by expertise and industry-leading standards. Our dedication to excellence ensures that you can trust us to meet your needs with the utmost professionalism and care, every time.

We are particularly proud of having one of the oldest running UKAS laboratories in the world, laboratory 0054 was established in 1971 and is still the centre of our force calibration services today.

For customers who require an ISO17025 calibration or who have to comply with standards such as ISO/TS16949 or ISO15189, we are accredited to ISO/IEC17025 for the on-site calibration of weighing equipment up to 5,000 kg and also for calibration of mass (weights) up to 25 kg.

In addition to mass (weight) calibration, Avery Weigh-Tronix can supply any type of weight to meet your requirements, which can be supplied with a fully traceable calibration certificate including UKAS / ISO17025. Our available mass weights include:

  • OIML class ranges E1, E2, F1, F2, M1, M2, M3
  • Stainless steel, brass, cast iron and other materials
  • Weights sets and cases
  • Block weights (up to 1,000 kg)
  • Roller weights
  • Trade weights
  • Pro weights

Avery Weigh-Tronix is certified by the NSAI for initial verification with an additional certification for reverification issued by SGS UK Ltd.

As an approved self-verifier with the largest team of trained verifiers in the UK and Ireland, we can offer a rapid verification service without the need for independent examination and testing by weights and measures officials. Having the ability to self-verify brings significant benefits to our customers as we are able to reduce downtime considerably after equipment repairs and installation.

Pharmaceutical companies which analyse and manufacture drugs and medicines to export to the USA have to comply with the United States Pharmacopoeia Chapter 41 (Balances). At Avery Weigh-Tronix we can provide a calibration service specifically designed to meet USP Chapter 41 requirements for accuracy, repeatability and minimum weight.

All of our calibration and verification services are conducted with weights uniquely identified and traceable to National Standards of Mass. All test weights are calibrated by UKAS / ISO17025 accredited laboratories.

Avery Weigh-Tronix operate one of only a few deadweight testing units in the UK, offering highly accurate calibration of load cells up to 55 tonnes.

Our deadweight testing unit can test for the following UK and international accredited standards:

  • BS EN ISO 376: 2011
  • ASTM E74:2006
  • OIML R60: 2000
