In addition to calibrating Avery Weigh-Tronix weighbridges, we can also calibrate and provide support on all competitor weighbridge models too.
As an ISO 45001 certified business, at Avery Weigh-Tronix, safety is paramount, especially when working on pit weighbridges, where confined spaces pose unique risks. We strictly adhere to a two-person rule, ensuring a trained standby technician is always present to manage emergencies, operate rescue equipment, and summon help if needed. Our technicians undergo comprehensive training in confined space safety and emergency response, empowering them to halt work if conditions are deemed unsafe. To further mitigate risks, we advocate for surface-mounted weighbridges, which eliminate confined space hazards altogether. By prioritising safety, compliance, and proactive planning, we protect both our employees and customers during every service interaction.
All of our calibration and verification services are conducted with weights uniquely identified and traceable to National Standards of Mass. All of our test weights are calibrated by UKAS / ISO17025 accredited laboratories to ensure you receive the most accurate weight readings on your weighing devices.
Avery Weigh-Tronix is an NSAI approved verifier, which allows us to conduct ‘self verification’ on weighbridges and other weighing or measuring instruments in Southern Ireland. Using a supplier who has self verification means that you won’t need to wait for a third-party verifier to complete the job. This reduces downtime, improves efficiency, and maintains operational continuity. It also provides faster certification, ensuring legal standards are met while saving you time and money.

Why are weighbridge test units important?
When a trade approved weighbridge requires a repair, a weighbridge test unit must reverify the weighbridge for legal-for-trade use. Until reverification takes place, weighbridge accuracy can’t be relied on for trading goods or services, meaning that businesses can end up out of pocket, or unable to transact business at all. With the demand for weighbridge test units so high, it can sometimes take weeks for a test unit to become available from other service providers.
We understand the demand for weighbridge reverification and have grown our fleet to meet this demand. We have full control over scheduling and prioritisation that is not possible when using third-party units. The weights we use to calibrate weighbridges have all been calibrated by a UKAS / ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, meaning they are at the highest accuracy level available to ensure your weighbridge operates with pinpoint precision.
Avery Weigh-Tronix are authorised to conduct reverification on weighbridges and other weighing equipment by the NSAI in Southern Ireland.
