Avery Weigh-Tronix is a global leader in the weighing industry and is currently looking for a full time Administrative Assistant to provide national support from our central office based in Montreal. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, a resourceful self-starter with professional etiquette, a high-level attention to detail, ability to pivot and multi-task and a team player that is willing to jump in and assist various functions.
Responsibilities:
As Administrative Assistant you will have the opportunity to assist in various aspects of the operations and overall business, by providing support to team members and managing the diverse day to day admin, in a fast moving operation.
Reporting to the Canadian Business Unit Manager, duties and responsibilities will include,
although are not limited to the following:
Provide front line customer service by answering calls and emails from customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing follow up as necessary.
Multi-task by providing ad-hoc administrative support to the region as needed, including reporting, data entry, file maintenance, correspondence etc.
Provide accounting support completing AR tasks, reporting and other duties as required
Provide administrative support to human resources as needed.
Provide back-up support to Service Coordinator, which includes dispatching and creating work orders for Technicians
Provide assistance with translation of documents and services, bridging the east and west operations.
Assist with the management of Test Weight Maintenance Schedule, ensuring upcoming expiries as communicated proactively.
Assist with regional projects involving multi-site certification/ calibration.
Provide regional support and assistance with special projects as needed.
Assist accounts with credit card payments.
Maintain a relationship of trust with vendors to ensure company’s needs are met.

Profile:
1 years of experience in an administrative position.
Bilingual in both French and English is a requirement.
Strong administrative experience required, advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Works productively in a fast-paced environment with a positive, determined attitude
Able to multi-task to respond to the changing priorities in a timely fashion.
Strong relationship, and communication skills with ability to influence others.
Analytical mindset, with proven ability for being resourceful and implementing effective solutions
Autonomous with exceptional organisation skills and ability to work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way.
Team player with ability to jump in to assist all areas and desire to continuously grow and define role.
Knowledge of the Canadian industrial weigh scale industry advantageous, but not essential.
