The role will provide pivotal internal sales support, customer quotations, and active outbound telesales prospecting in order to achieve budget targets. Internal sales will involve dealing with internal & external prospective customers on a daily basis. This role will be important in supporting commercial activities to hit the UK Division’s strategic targets through growth i.e. increasing the internal customer base in order to increase Adhoc revenue on a monthly basis, whilst delivering an exceptional level of service to our customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Handling all inbound sales enquires for calibration select customers, using sales techniques to establish the customer’s needs and pro-actively process all sales enquires, leads and quotations.
Making outbound sales call using leads generated through our digital marketing team and also developing your own pipeline of customers
Managing new and existing customer accounts
Developing sales opportunities in partnership with the field sales team
Meeting/exceeding dynamic KPI’s set within the internal sales officer role
Ensuring accurate recording and capture of all sales enquires using Salesforce, Baan, Microsoft office and any other data systems.
To efficiently follow up on all Marketing and Mail-shot campaigns in a structured and documented manner so as to monitor responses, target sales opportunities and closing down sales wherever possible.
To communicate and build positive relations internal (and external customers where required) regarding all matters relating to orders, quotations and sales, in order to promote the UK Direct business at every opportunity.
Effectively deal with customer issues / problems as and when appropriate through defined reporting methods and procedures, attempting at all times to ‘own’ customer issues and attempt to resolve them as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
Escalate opportunities to correct channel of sale where growth potential of a customer supersedes internal sales capabilities in accordance with the divisional strategy
Developing and maintaining new database contacts and details of potential customers through Salesforce ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
To undertake all other clerical and administration duties as required as well as any other duties deemed appropriate, in line with skills and experience, to ensure the achievement of wider commercial objectives.

Background & Experience:
Education: Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English and Maths or A level or diploma qualification (or equivalent) to include Business or Maths subjects
Experience: 1-3 years prior experience in a similar role or telesales role, and within a Sales & Service driven environment. Prior experience of the Salesforce system is desirable but not essential.
Abilities: Advanced IT skill in all Microsoft office packages i.e. Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.
