Field Service Technician (Bristol & Bath/Suffolk)

We are currently seeking to recruit a field-based Service Technician to join our UK Direct Service business. Within this role you will work from your company vehicle providing effective and technically competent breakdown and preventative maintenance services to Test, Measurement and Specialist weighing products and systems across a variety of customer sites.

As a Service Technician at Avery Weigh-Tronix you’ll deliver world class front-line service to our customers on a daily basis. From your first day with us, we’ll equip you with the latest tools, kit, PPE, quality workwear and a customised Ford Transit van to ensure your time spent on the road is as comfortable as possible.

Salary range: Negotiable dependent on qualifications, experience, skill-set and performance during selection process + market-leading company vehicle. Employment type: Permanent / Full-time 40 hours per week Monday-Friday with overtime opportunities

Main duties:

Pre-requisites to apply: You must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence. You should also have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSE pass qualifications, or equivalent, to include Maths and English as well as a relevant BTEC/NVQ (Lv3) minimum qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is desirable as well as any Passport to Safety and/or Confined Space certifications. 1-3 years practical experience in a similar role and/or within a service driven, customer-focused environment is preferred.

Screening: Due to our extensive customer base and service contract provisions, full pre-employment checks will be undertaken for the successful candidate offered a position. These pre-employment checks may include; Eligibility to Work in the UK, Employment Referencing (up to 5 years), Full UK Driving Licence check, a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) or Disclosure Scotland (DS) basic background check, Medical Screening and Qualifications, Professional Membership/s and/or Certification checks.
