The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in the procurement process, focusing on acquiring products, services, and equipment vital to the company’s operations. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic purchasing plans, collaborating with senior leadership to devise cost-control initiatives, and securing advantageous procurement deals. This role demands a strategic approach to managing company spending effectively while maintaining quality standards in procurement activities.
What You Will Do:
Assume all responsibility UK & Ireland inventory ensuring on target performance in respect of lead times and inventory grading.
Using ITW’s Market Rate of Demand principals for ensuring delivery of 95% or above on service levels while adhering to ITW policies on SMI (slow moving inventory) and MOH (months on hand policies)
Place orders and manage supplier relationships and chase freight suppliers as required
Play a critical role in cost management by negotiating contracts and terms with contracts and suppliers.
Maintain pricing systems ensuring timely application of agreed price increases.
Source products and services to deliver all UK & Ireland revenue targets.
Develop and implement a partner and supplier contractual arrangement including SLA’s to support Customer Facing Metrics and warranty processes.
Manage warranty recovery processes.
Produce monthly forecasts and reports on inventory, freight and warranty.
Lead interface with ITW Strategic Sourcing, communicating relevant information across the Divisions and compiling reports as required
To become proficient in ITW Toolbox methodology and apply these skills to improving all administration processes used within the Division
To observe and comply with all company policies including but not limited to Health and Safety, ethics policy, email and internet usage policy and all policies and appendices within the Contract of employment.
To expedite any issues arising in accordance with agreed procedures
Drive a continuous improvement culture within the business, emphasizing ITW’s 80/20 principles.
Work with different departments to share and promote best practices.
Any other duties deemed appropriate within the scope of the role and in line with skills and experience.

5 GCSE qualifications at grades A-C, or equivalent
2-5 years prior experience in a similar role and within a commercial environment.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Willing to work in a hybrid setting. The expectation would be working in the office Tuesday- Thursday.
