IT Analyst (Based in Head Office Smethwick, Birmingham)
Objective of role:
To work within a small IT Team providing 1st and 2nd line technical support and project work/delivery for our domestic and global business units. Work will be at the desktop and network/server level and will include cybersecurity, patch and license management. The role involves a combination of teamwork with some lone/OOH working.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To manage support calls effectively and efficiently, progressing to fault resolution and following escalation procedures where required.
Actively contribute to maintaining and improving AWTX’s cybersecurity profile via our proprietary BRAVE (Back-Up & recovery, Response, Awareness, Vulnerability, Endpoint)
To undertake asset/patch/license management as necessary
Provide support for local and remote users.
Working with Apple and Android mobile devices – ensure high availability and service levels
Utilise the relevant security monitoring tools to investigate vulnerabilities and suspicious activities.
To produce user documentation as required.
Development and deployment of standard PC company images plus user-specific configuration
Support and effect IT system security policies, including authentication and password policies, antivirus, data access and software patching.
Assist with the promotion of cyber security organisational culture through the monitoring and analysis of Phish Testing, data and Cyber Security Awareness training results to ensure improved levels of cyber security consciousness.
Support the IT Team in consistently maintaining high standards of customer service.
Perform general telephone system administration tasks such as configuring and setting up internal hunt groups, extensions and forwards and the running of general system updates.
To attend regular meetings to review operational issues impacting customer service
Willingness to learn new technologies when required.
To ensure that all stock and company equipment is kept clean, safe, secure and maintained to high standard.
To undertake and attend training courses as necessary to develop and maintain skills.
To ensure accurate and timely administrative care is taken when completing time sheets.
Undertake work in overtime and OOH in-line with the requirements of the Business.
To observe and comply with all Company policies including but not limited to Health and Safety, Ethics Policy, IT User policy and all policies and appendices within the Contract of Employment.
To comply with the Company’s Expense Policy and submit expenses on a monthly basis to the Business & Service Delivery Manager for approval.
Any other duties deemed appropriate within the scope of the role and in-line with skills and experience
Person Specification – Background Experience Basic Qualifications and/or Experience required:
2-5 years prior experience in a similar role and within a Service Driven and highly Customer-focused environment
Prior experience working in 1st or 2nd line support
Have a sound working knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft 365.
Network+
CompTIA A+
ITIL Foundation
Cyber Security Qualification desirable
