Avery Weigh-Tronix is a global leader in the weighing industry and is currently looking for a full time Account Manager for its operation, based out of Etobicoke. As Account Manager you will be responsible for maximizing revenue by growing sales within existing accounts, identifying, and developing new accounts. The ideal candidate will be someone that self-motivated, is passionate about sales, is driven to exceed expectations and has a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Act as a technical consultant by growing sales and achieving targets by following established selling methods, demonstrating our products and applications, following up with sales leads, penetrating new accounts and maintaining key accounts
Responsible for service and support of managed inventory in order to promote greater understanding of the customers, increase contacts within the customer group and drive sales results
Build customer relations whilst exceeding sales objective and increasing customer base through the promotion of Avery Weigh-Tronix products and services
Drive sales growth through consistent focus and market research, implementing action plans and tactics ensure positive sales
Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales
Document, analyze, and understand impact of customer focused activities to increase productivity and sales within assigned market
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of the scale industry, and Avery Weigh-Tronix products and service upgrades
Respond to customer requests in timely and efficient manner, guiding product selection, price negotiation and inventory for client purchases
Responsible for management and maintenance of Salesforce database including activation of new accounts
Develop annual contract plans for assigned accounts remains alert and responsive to changing customer needs
Utilized strong communication skills, team orientation and interpersonal strengths to ensure high-quality customer service in a high-pressure environment
Work with the service team to identify potential leads and schedule advance customer visits for both new and existing customers accordingly
Demonstrate competency in product demonstrations and application know-how
Additional tasks as assigned by Branch Manager
Skills & Experience:
Post-Secondary education an asset
1-3 years technical sales experience required
Previous experience with Salesforce/ServiceMax an asset
Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to new environments and new challenges
Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers
Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skills
Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities with a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required
Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software
Business acumen around sales forecasting opportunity management and customer planning
Ability to listen, gain trust and bring to closure an action, project, resolution or sales with customers
Ability to clearly articulate business drivers, understand key financial and total cost of ownership concepts with all levels of the organization
Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions
Strong process discipline, ability to align planning objectives with a pipeline development process to grow and develop market revenue
