The accuracy and reliability of your weighing equipment directly impacts on your company’s profitability.
We understand that keeping your weighing equipment accurate and compliant is crucial.
Avery Weigh-Tronix is accredited to the highest international standards, meaning that every piece of equipment entering our world-class laboratory undergoes rigorous checks by fully qualified engineers.
We provide standard and UKAS accredited testing and calibration services, removing the risk of inaccurate measurements, product failures and accidents.
Our weighbridge test unit fleet is the largest in the UK. Combined with our extensive service network, we’re able to offer a fast calibration and verification service which meets your needs.
Our 10 weighbridge test units are strategically placed across the UK to offer market leading verification for our customers and services for operations without our service cover plans too.
When a trade approved weighbridge requires a repair, a weighbridge test unit must reverify the weighbridge for legal-for-trade operation.
Until reverification takes place, weighbridge accuracy can’t be relied on for trading goods or services, meaning that businesses can end up out of pocket, or unable to transact business at all. With the demand for weighbridge test units so high, it can sometimes take weeks for a test unit to become available.
We understand the demand on weighbridge reverification units and have grown our fleet to meet this demand. We have full control over scheduling and prioritisation that is not possible when using third party units.
Our groundbreaking Uptime Select™ BridgeCare Total™ service plans include reverification services as standard. But we can also provide reverification services with no contract required, to get your operation up and running as quickly as possible.
We run one of only a few deadweight testing units in the UK, offering highly accurate calibration of load cells up to 55 tonnes. The Avery Weigh-Tronix deadweight testing unit can test for the following UK and international accredited standards:
Calibration of weighing equipment is embedded within the scope of our ISO 9001 approval. Avery Weigh-Tronix also complies with the requirements of the UK Weighing Federation code of practice for the calibration of non-automatic weighing instruments.
For customers who require an ISO17025 calibration or who have to comply with standards such as ISO/TS16949 or ISO15189, we are accredited to ISO/IEC17025 for the on-site calibration of weighing equipment up to 5,000 kg and also for calibration of mass (weights) up to 25 kg.
In addition to mass (weight) calibration, Avery Weigh-Tronix can supply any type of weight to meet your requirements, including:
All weights can be supplied with a fully traceable calibration certificate including UKAS / ISO17025.

Avery Weigh-Tronix is approved by SGS UK Ltd and meets the requirements of the non-automatic weighing instruments directive (2014/31/EU Annex 11.2) and the non-automatic weighing instruments regulations (SI 2016 No 1152) for EU initial verification and UK reverification.
As an approved self-verifier with the largest team of trained verifiers in the UK and Ireland, we can offer a rapid verification service without the need for independent examination and testing by weights and measures officials.
Pharmaceutical companies which analyse and manufacture drugs and medicines to export to the USA have to comply with the United States Pharmacopoeia Chapter 41 (Balances).
We can provide a calibration service specifically designed to meet USP Chapter 41 requirements for accuracy, repeatability and minimum weight.
All of our calibration and verification services are conducted with weights uniquely identified and traceable to National Standards of Mass. All test weights are calibrated by UKAS / ISO17025 accredited laboratories.
