The Avery Weigh-Tronix M-3000 series of manual weigh price labelers offers sophisticated industrial-grade labelers without the increased expense of conveyors and automated weigh cells. The machines are highly flexible and accurate, with a superior print output and are designed for irregular shaped products or for locations where floor space may be at a premium.
Short runs or low volume of pre-packaged fresh food and other items becomes simpler and more profitable with the Avery Weigh-Tronix M-3000 series of Weigh Price Labelers. They offer extremely high quality, yet flexible labeling options and a small machine footprint to provide a practical and affordable machine for every application.
The M-3000 can also be networked into a central computer system, to provide greater control as well as management intelligence. This decreases the programming time required and increases the amount of information and supervision on the factory floor.
A range of printing options mean that the M-3000 can fulfill even the most demanding of customers’ labeling requirements with a quality given by much higher priced machines. Unique to the M-3000, it also features a four inch print head which allows even wider and more informative labels to meet stringent regulatory requirements.
Quality label printing with complete flexibility.
The M-3000 features many of the same sophisticated printing options as Avery Weigh-Tronix’s top-of-the-line A-3000 weigh price labeler. The machine deals with many different label requirements quickly, easily and with the kind of quality today’s customers expect. In addition, there is no limit to the shapes of the label the machine can produce. The print head incorporates a position-adjustable sensor to detect the leading edge of each label to make possible the printing on all types of different shaped labels. In addition, the M-3000 features a weight discrimination feature, which means the label is printed only if the weight of the product corresponds to the pre-defined range.
The extensive memory, stored in standard compact flash memory, allows up to 8,000 different PLUs to be stored.
Information can include:
- Main name and second name of article
- Price
- Tare associated to the product
- Dates: current, best before, and extra
- 10 lines of 24 characters for free texts
- 1 extra line of up to 1,000 characters
- Ingredients (up to 4,000 in a user-editable database)
- Bar codes: EAN-8, EAN-133, EAN-128, ITF-14. (Possibility of 2 bar codes in the same label format.)
The memory can also store a database of up to 1,000 customers to allow quick recall and application of a particular customer’s requirements. The machine enables
customer label compliance with all current European labeling requirements by providing a customized traceability solution for many kinds of food (beef, fish, vegetables, cheese) or non-food products.
Intuitive programming and networking.
The easy-to-read console and graphic display system is intuitive to use, which means less training for the operator and more running time for the machine. The different functions are controlled by means of menus, navigation keys, and sub-menu access keys.
The M-3000 series can act as a stand-alone labeler or it can be interconnected into a centralized network The PC connection and optional software package allows the user to program the system, design the graphics for the labels, and the analysis of production data received from the equipment. The M-3000 series can also be networked together with the companion A-3000 series automatic weigh price labelers for a total “systems” labeling solution.
An optional PC Windows-based software package is the perfect complement for the M-3000 series. It allows the user to program the labeler and also provides a visual label design module for the quick & easy design / modification of labels. Communications between the PC-based software package and the M-3000 series units can be either local or remote (via modem).
Not only is the user interface intuitive to use but by storing repetitive tasks in eight function keys, the operator can greatly increase productivity. This “macro” system means that with only one key press, the user can execute complex operations with no need to navigate across different menu levels.
Easy to use, clean and support.
The labeler has a side and front door for easy access to the printing mechanism. The paper path is designed to avoid paper jams and to facilitate the immediate replacement of the label rolls. The machine also holds larger rolls of labels, reducing the downtime due to changing rolls.
