Avery Weigh-Tronix is committed to supporting charities primarily in the West Midlands area and as a response to Employee Charity work.
We have recently donated to the following charities:
Sponsorship for Kevin Newman, Telesales Executive on behalf of The Prostrate Cancer Charity
To raise money for awareness of prostate cancer all in the name of Movember. For the whole of the month of November Kevin didn’t shave and grew a moustache, ‘the tache’ to change the face of men’s health.
Sponsorship for Mark Brownley, Industrial Technician – Maidstone on behalf of Naomi House Children’s Hospice.
Mark and fellow cyclist Chris Such are taking up the challenge to cycle from Portsmouth to Lands End and back to Portsmouth in 3 days – a total of 550 miles.
Naomi House is a hospice for sick and terminally ill children. Both Mark and Chris have family members who have used Naomi house facilities and would like to support them.
Sponsorship for Nick Ockmore, Industrial Technician – Bury St Edmunds on behalf of The Sick Children’s Trust.
Nick is to take part in the Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon on 28th November 2010.
The charity helped Nick and family when his daughter, Abbie was critically ill in Addenbrooks for 10 weeks. They provide accommodation for families who need to be housed close to their children when they are in hospital. They were absolutely fantastic so its great to give something back.
